As we were loading up to leave the girls begged Grandpa Trace to saddle a mule for them. He didn't saddle a mule, he just threw them on top of Jasper. All those little girls giggled there way around and Jasper was delighted to carry them around. She is a mighty fine mule.

the barn
We ran away to the barn last weekend and I didn't realize how much I needed a quick retreat. Work has been a whirlwind, the girls have been dreamy but busy, and as Kevin's quarter ends we quite enjoyed our 3 days of general conference at the barn. The boys hunted in the morning and afternoon and I baked in between then. The weather was delightful and Stella and Finley played so fabulously. I can't wait to run back!
