Month 6

Dear Ruby,
My oh My, you are 6 months old! Where did all the time go? It feel like just moments ago I was feeling your constant hiccups and watching your feet move across my belly. Now you have seemed to snap out of a blob stage, one that just smiles, and now you are all baby. You can hold your own bottle, you figured out how to eat off a spoon. You love ice cream and truly enjoy eating mine. You can sit up now and well, the biggest adjustment is you crawl.
A lot. Like from one room to the other. You don't crawl fast but you get where you want to go quick enough. It's like you woke up one morning last week and decided that you would sit and crawl and eat more baby food than I had in the house. It made me a little sad, but at the same time smile from ear to ear. Your screeching and screaming and all in all making a lot of happy noises.You are still without a doubt the happiest baby I've ever seen. You just smile all day. I wonder if at night when you go to sleep if your cheeks hurt because of all the smiles. I'm sure you have enough padding in their that they don't hurt to much. You grew a lot this month, and you are able to fit into all of Stella's clothes. I had to make new hair bows because that little head of yours outgrew them all.
Your sister is still your best friend, you get so excited when she comes home to play with you. You try to keep up with her as she runs around the house but just can't get there as fast. You did figure out if you just wait a few seconds she'll be back to play with you.
Ruby, I love you so much. You are such a happiness in our home, and sometimes Stella's lifesaver. You occupy one of my arms when wandering around and in the middle of a tantrum and loss of patience with Stella, I just look at you, take a deep breath and take in your dimples and blue eyes, then I can handle Stella. I hope you continue to have the ability to stop the chaos in the future. We are going to need it.
