This week Stella and I are staying in a house in Park City. ( Long story, but Trace accidentally bought a week stay in the silent auction at a cancer benefit.) Nobody else could make it during the week, but since I just work at home, a change of office with Stella has been really nice. But this morning when I walked into the closet where she was sleeping, the scent of illness engulfed my mind and I was imagining feeding tubes and my hair covered in puke, only this time it was June Bug. As I picked her up, I got a puddle of puke with her. She hadn't been eating well since Saturday, except for the ice cream. Apparently she didn't feel well. Once I had her in my arms, she said hello by puking on me. The poor girl was so sick all morning. She threw up a few more times in my arms and all over my clothes. But 3 loads of laundry, 2 baths, 1 bottle of diet coke and after a nap in my arms she seemed to do much better. She slept it off for most of the day but it might have been one of the saddest days of mother hood.
Here she is just laying on the floor, yes laying there awake not moving. Very out of character.
How sad! There is nothing worse than a sick baby. I hope she gets feeling better soon. Poor girl.
