First Day of the Second Year

Today Miss June went to her first day of her second year of preschool. She is well aware that this is the second year of school, so you know the first day totally isn't a big deal. Except she wanted it exactly the way she wanted it.
I took her school shopping yesterday for a few new things, (only a few because seriously, she has so many clothes...) and boy oh boy does she have an opinion. Shopping with her was exhausting in ways I never would have imagined.
She is such a girl.
I couldn't keep her by my side because she was off finding the closest mirror so she could twirl and talk to herself. Then when I would find her and ask her to try on a pair of shoes she would give me the hand and mouth the words, "I'm on the phone mom, just wait." She was not on the phone. She was supposed to be shopping with me. I thought I had a few more years until the drama and attitude of a teenager unfolded. Wrong again.

When I got home and started to look at her clothes I realized that she had picked out an entire outfit exactly like one in my closet, including the shoes and belt. At least I can still influence her clothing choices someway.  She wanted to make sure I took pictures of her in her clothes so that Aunt Colly knew how pretty she was for school, just like Colly is at her school in Washington.
(I kid you not she told me this Micall...)

She had a great first day of school and told me she didn't learn anything new today because it was all about the rules from last year, and duh, she already knows all the rules.

(This is what happens when I ask to take both their photos together...)

I can't believe how grown up she is becoming. She is truly a dreamboat, attitude and all.
