Beaming

Meet Micall.
She is graduating from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Dairy, Veterinary Sciences with an emphasis in bio-veterinary science and minors in chemistry and biology in May. She will be 23 in September. I saw her graduation announcement this last week and I cried. Sort of like when she was salutatorian at Wasatch High and she spoke at graduation. I cried.
Since she was 4 years old she wanted to be a Vet and she hasn't let anything get in her way. She is passionate about animals and science and full of random knowledge about both. She has worked unbelievably hard to maintain amazing grades and was awarded WICHE  funding. WICHE is a government funding program for professional schools. They provide funding to cover out-of-state tuition costs for three schools out west; Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. This funding is awarded to four students out of the pool of 30-35 applicants across Utah. With this she received admission to all three schools. In addition to her admissions to Washington, Oregon and Colorado she was accepted to Ohio State. So she's pretty smart. She has more passion for animals than I have for anything. But mostly she has an amazing work ethic that will make her unbelievably successful in everything she sets out to do. She decided to go to Washington State and they move to Pullman, Washington the middle of August. Meanwhile she looks like she is 13, maybe 15 if she wears her hair down. And behind it all she has an amazing husband who supports her and keeps her in check. Congrats Micall! Hard work does pay off in spades.

When I grow up I want to be like my little sister.
